lottery win twice

A Mississauga woman is defying all odds — again. Just months after claiming a share of a staggering $60 million Lotto Max jackpot alongside her co-workers, she’s now won another $250,000 — this time from an Instant Golden Multiplier ticket purchased at a gas station on a whim.

According to OLG, the latest win happened unexpectedly. The woman had stopped at a Hornby gas station to grab a bottle of water while shopping at an outlet mall. On impulse, she bought a few tickets — and scratched one the next morning in her car, only to realize she was holding another golden ticket.

“It feels like I was struck by lightning twice in one year,” she told OLG. “You have to give yourself a smack just to make sure it’s real.”

Back in January, she had purchased the winning Lotto Max ticket as part of a group of five co-workers to celebrate the Lunar New Year. That draw earned each of them $12 million.

Now retired, she says she plans to use her latest prize to pay off bills and enjoy some well-earned travel.

While most dream of hitting the jackpot once, this lucky winner is living proof that lightning really can strike twice.
