Fatal Crash in Vaughan Claims One Life, Another Hospitalized
A tragic car crash in Vaughan late Saturday night has left one man dead and another seriously injured, according to York Regional Police.
The collision occurred just after 10 p.m. near Weston Road and Rutherford Road. Emergency crews responded swiftly, but a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second individual involved in the incident sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released further details about their condition.
As of Sunday morning, police confirmed that the northbound lanes of Weston Road have reopened, while the southbound lanes remain closed to allow for road repairs and further investigation.
