Downtown Barrie is about to turn into a dessert lover’s paradise on Saturday, July 12, as the Butter Tart Festival Barrie 2025 returns to Meridian Place and pedestrian-only Dunlop Street. After drawing a record-breaking crowd of over 40,000 visitors last year, this year’s event is baking up even more excitement.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the city will host over 100 Canadian vendors, showcasing everything from award-winning butter tarts to gourmet foods, handmade crafts, and unique retail finds. Whether you’re a sweet tooth veteran or just here for the vibes, this festival is shaping up to be one of Ontario’s tastiest summer highlights.

Festival co-ordinator Helen Prucha, owner of Gotta Luv Butter Tarts, shared:
