Teens Armed with Hammers Terrorize Jewellery Stores in Mississauga and Brampton – 3 Arrested After Violent Heists

Three teenage boys have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of violent smash-and-grab robberies targeting jewelry stores in Mississauga and Brampton.

Between January 19 and February 4, the suspects stormed into multiple jewelry stores inside shopping malls, using hammers and pry bars to shatter display cases. Terrified shoppers and staff looked on as the teens grabbed jewelry and quickly fled the scene in stolen vehicles.

Peel Regional Police confirmed the suspects are 16 and 17 years old and come from Toronto, Kitchener, and Nova Scotia. Two of them were already on release for prior violent offenses. The accused now face several charges including robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, and breach of court orders. Due to their age, their names cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Investigators have recovered one of the stolen getaway vehicles and believe additional arrests may follow. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Peel Police or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
