
Mississauga, ON – An impaired driver is now in custody following a series of separate vehicle collisions that occurred Thursday morning across several locations in Mississauga, according to Peel Regional Police.
Authorities say the incidents took place around 8:00 a.m., spanning the area between Dixie Road and the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) to Eastgate Parkway. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crashes, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The collisions are believed to be linked to a single male driver suspected of being impaired behind the wheel. Peel Police shared an update via X (formerly Twitter), confirming the arrest and stating that the situation is under active investigation.
“DANGEROUS CONDITION: Male in custody — multiple vehicle collisions at different locations due to suspected impaired driving — no reported injuries at this time,” Peel Police wrote on their official X account.
As the investigation continues, police are asking drivers to use caution in the area and remain alert to possible delays or road closures.
