Canada Wonderland new policy

Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, is introducing a new chaperone policy for visitors aged 15 and under this fall, ahead of its popular Halloween Haunt event. The policy aims to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all guests amid reports of increasing unruly and inappropriate behavior in entertainment venues.

The policy will take effect on September 26, the first day of Halloween Haunt, and requires each minor to be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old. Each chaperone may oversee no more than ten young guests, and must remain with their group throughout the visit, while also being reachable by phone for the duration of their stay.

Canada’s Wonderland emphasized that the chaperone policy will officially be enforced starting 6 p.m. daily, but the park reserves the right to implement it earlier if needed to maintain safety and order.

The new measure comes as Halloween Haunt prepares to entertain visitors with haunted mazes, scare zones, and live shows, offering immersive experiences that are both thrilling and family-friendly. Park officials said the chaperone requirement is part of broader efforts to maintain a safe environment where families and friends can enjoy the attractions without disruptions.
